- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of bacon and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove from oven, brush with barbecue sauce, and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese melts.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
