Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a delightful snack, this banana bread combines ripe bananas, warm spices, and optional nuts or chocolate chips for a rich, tender bite that everyone will love.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
  • Yield: Genreally 10 slices

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, gently stirring until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Optionally, sprinkle chopped nuts or chocolate chips on top. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • For extra moisture and flavor, consider adding a splash of milk or Greek yogurt to the batter.
  • If desired, fold in 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or chocolate chips before baking for added texture.
  • This banana bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or frozen for up to 3 months.
