- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook until browned. Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until translucent.
- Add orzo to the skillet, stirring to coat with the meat and onions.
- Pour in beef broth, ketchup, and mustard. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in shredded cheese and crumbled bacon until melted and well combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
