Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes, sliced thin
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and add milk. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Layer sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, season with salt and pepper, then top with cooked beef mixture.
  5. Pour the milk mixture over the layers and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
