Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray, or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, folding until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix extra cinnamon with a little sugar. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add the remaining batter and swirl using a butter knife to create a cinnamon swirl pattern.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
- For added crunch, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips before baking.
- Ensure not to overmix to keep the bread tender.
- Store slices in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
