- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
- 1 lettuce head, shredded
- 1 ripe tomato, sliced
- Pickles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil or butter for toasting
Instructions
- Preheat skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties, season with salt and pepper.
- Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until crispy and cooked through.
- In the last minute, add cheese slices on top of each patty to melt.
- Toast burger buns with butter until golden brown.
- Assemble burgers: place lettuce on bottom bun, add patty with melted cheese, then tomato slices, pickles, and top with the other bun.
Notes
- For extra crunch, coat patties lightly with seasoned flour before cooking.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sauces.
