- 12 oz (340 g) of pasta (penne, linguine, or spaghetti)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Garnish with fresh basil and additional cheese if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to add cooked chicken or shrimp for protein enhancement.
- Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
