- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, beat softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in chopped walnuts and chocolate chunks.
- Divide dough into 8-10 equal portions and shape into balls.
- Place on prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden and center is still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For extra flavor, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- You can substitute walnuts with pecans or add a sprinkle of sea salt on top.
