Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, diced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by dicing and setting aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Add vanilla, milk, and egg to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
