- 1 egg
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the apples by dicing and setting aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Add vanilla, milk, and egg to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm, drizzled with caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
- You can add a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top for extra sweetness.
- For a healthier version, bake the fritter bites instead of frying.
