- 2 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Set aside.
- Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
- Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold crusts over filling to create mini pies and seal edges by pinching or pressing with a fork.
- Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until crusts are golden and filling is bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Can be made with any variety of apples for different flavors.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
