Instructions
- Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place steaks in the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, and thyme to the skillet.
- Baste the steaks with the melted butter mixture for 2-3 minutes until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove steaks from skillet, let rest for 5 minutes, then serve topped with the butter sauce.
