Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of store-bought or homemade gnocchi
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream or cooking cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (basil or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add gnocchi to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and coated with sauce.
- Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses until melted and creamy. Return cooked chicken to the skillet and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes to meld flavors.
- Garnish with fresh herbs like basil or parsley. Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use freshly cooked or frozen gnocchi—just cook frozen gnocchi according to package instructions before adding to the sauce.
- This dish can be customized by adding spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute the cheeses with dairy-free alternatives and use coconut cream.
