- 3 ripe bananas, mashed

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
- In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
- Cream together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add mashed bananas into the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients gradually, mixing on low or with a spatula until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts or oats.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, flatten slightly if desired.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
Notes
- For a healthier version, substitute half the all-purpose flour with oats or almond flour.
- Add chopped nuts or oats for more texture and flavor.
- Cookies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
