Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in nuts if using.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow cooling before cutting into squares, optionally top with chocolate glaze.
