Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by heating the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant and translucent.
- Add the ground beef or Italian sausage, cook until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes to meld flavors.
- Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick spray. Spread a layer of the meat sauce at the bottom.
- Place a layer of frozen cheese ravioli over the sauce, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers—meat sauce, ravioli, mozzarella—until all ingredients are used, ending with cheese on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- Ensure the slow cooker is well-greased to prevent sticking.
- Add a splash of water or additional marinara if the sauce thickens too much during cooking.
- You can substitute homemade marinara for store-bought for enhanced flavor.
