Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 3 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sea salt flakes for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix flour and brown sugar in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. In a bowl, toss diced apples with cinnamon, salt, and half of the caramel sauce.
  5. Spread apple mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  6. Drizzle remaining caramel sauce over the apples.
  7. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sea salt flakes. Cool before slicing.
