Instructions

- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Roll dough into 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
- Place cookies on prepared baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Let cool completely before decorating with icing and sprinkles.
