A simple and flavorful Thanksgiving peas side dish featuring fresh green peas cooked in a seasoned butter sauce and garnished with herbs.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh green peas
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the peas for 2-3 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the cooked peas to the skillet, stirring to coat in the butter and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. Garnish with freshly chopped thyme or parsley before serving.
