- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 package store-bought pie crusts (or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Roll out one pie crust and fit into a 9-inch pie dish.
- Pour apple filling into the crust and cover with the second crust or lattice pattern.
- Seal edges and cut small slits on top to vent steam.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
- Cool before serving for best results.
