Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by washing and dicing the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Slice the smoked sausage into rounds. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes and sausage slices with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. This step ensures each bite is bursting with flavor.
- Spread the seasoned potatoes and sausage in an even layer in your prepared baking dish. This arrangement helps them cook evenly and creates a beautiful, crispy exterior.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy. Toss halfway through the baking time for even crispiness.
- Remove the dish from the oven. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the hot potatoes and sausage. Drizzle ranch dressing over the top, allowing the cheese to melt and the flavors to mingle beautifully. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
- Once done, sprinkle fresh parsley on top for a burst of color and freshness. Serve hot with side salads or vegetables.
Notes
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, microwave or bake at 350°F until warmed; re-bake slightly for crispier potatoes and sausage.
- Feel free to customize the sausage with chicken, turkey, or vegan options.
