- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 1 cup cooked pasta noodles
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, broth, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Add cooked pasta and cook for 5 minutes until heated through.
- Ladle soup into bowls and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Serve hot.
Notes
You can add extra vegetables like spinach or zucchini for added nutrients. For a creamier texture, stir in a dollop of ricotta cheese before serving.
