Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cover with foil if the top browns too quickly.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
- Mix the batter gently to keep the bread tender.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for additional flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
