Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup whiskey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh thyme and parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent.
- Pour whiskey into the pan, scraping up any browned bits. Let it reduce by half.
- Add heavy cream and Dijon mustard, stir until combined and sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the pan and simmer in the sauce for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh thyme and parsley. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Use good quality whiskey for a richer flavor.
- Adjust cream quantity for a thicker or lighter sauce.
- Serve with mash potatoes or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
