Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
- Optional: hot sauce or salsa for extra flavor
Instructions
- Start by cooking your chicken breasts until tender. Shred the cooked chicken using two forks.
- Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, sautéed garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
- Lay a tortilla flat on a surface. Spoon a portion of the chicken mixture onto the center. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and optional hot sauce or salsa.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from one end to the other to enclose the filling. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Cook each wrap in a hot skillet or grill pan over medium heat, about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese melts. Alternatively, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until crispy.
Notes
- Use leftover cooked chicken or pre-cooked chicken strips for quicker prep.
- Feel free to substitute different cheeses like Monterey Jack or mozzarella for varied flavors.
- For a healthier option, use low-carb tortillas and reduced-fat cheese.
- Serve immediately for best crispy texture, or reheat in a skillet to restore crispiness.
