Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then bread crumb mixture, ensuring even coating.
- Place the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
- Remove from oven, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with basil leaves before serving.
Notes
- You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture for extra spice.
