- 1 pack wonton wrappers
- 8 oz ground pork or chicken
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground meat, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place a teaspoon of filling in each wonton wrapper and seal edges tightly.
- Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot. Add garlic, ginger, and mushrooms, simmer for 5 minutes.
- Gently add wontons to the broth and cook for about 5 minutes or until they float.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken with shrimp or vegetarian options with tofu.
- Freeze unused wontons for future use.
