Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core the cabbage and blanch leaves in boiling water until soft, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Place a scoop of filling onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in sides as you go.
- Arrange rolls seam-side down in a baking dish, pour tomato sauce over the top.
- Sprinkle with cheese if using, cover with foil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and cooked through.
