- 1 pound tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and chopped basil, cook until cheese melts and sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss cooked tortellini in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve immediately with additional Parmesan and basil garnish if desired.

- Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut milk and nutritional yeast for Parmesan.
