Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease muffin tins or line with paper cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, olive oil, and egg until combined. Stir in the pizza sauce.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in shredded cheese and optional toppings.
- Divide batter evenly into muffin tins, filling about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly, then garnish with fresh basil or oregano. Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
