  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer the cooked beef mixture to the crockpot. Add crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Add broken lasagna noodles during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Cover and cook until noodles are tender.
  5. Once cooked, stir in shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses until melted and creamy.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes
