- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add cold butter pieces and cut in with a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually pour in milk and stir until dough comes together.
- On a floured surface, roll dough into a large circle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
- Cut the dough into wedges, roll each wedge from the wide end to the point, and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Chopped pecans can be toasted for extra flavor before adding.
- Serve warm with honey or additional melted butter if desired.
