  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add cold butter pieces and cut in with a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually pour in milk and stir until dough comes together.
  5. On a floured surface, roll dough into a large circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
  7. Cut the dough into wedges, roll each wedge from the wide end to the point, and place on prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
